| BASKAR DENTAL FOUNDATION, a non-profit,
charitable organization has been founded
to serve the economically weaker section
of the community irrespective of caste,
creed, religion, gender.
HISTORY

The foundation was born on 30 November
1994, founded by Dr.P.K.Baskar,
Professor Emeritus and Renowned Dental
Professional with 48 years of valuable
service to the society.
The activities of this foundation was
started with active support of the community,
well-wishers, doctors and paramedical
staff attached to the foundation and Sri
Viveka Institute of Dental Health, Chennai.
A large number of Noble personalities
and Institutions have been helping the
foundation.
Foundation was registered, as a public
charitable trust on October 2001. Donations
given to the Foundation are exempted under
Section 80G of the Income Tax Act of Govt.
of India.
GOAL OF THE FOUNDATION: “To
maintain the Teeth and Gums of as many
people as possible in the community in
a healthy condition.”
OBJECTIVES
• To conduct periodical
Free Dental camps to promote Dental Health
in the community.
• Creating awareness
and educating the people on prevention
of dental diseases.
• Emphasise the role
of food in the prevention and treatment
of dental diseases.
• To identify dental
diseases at the early stage thus preventing
other complications like cardio vascular
diseases, diabetes, stroke, alziemers,
pre mature delivery, low birth weight
etc.,which may occur due to chronic dental
problems - 'Danta sampath, sharera
sampath'. (Healthy teeth and gums
are important for healthy body & well
being of an individual).
• To focus attention
on prevention of dental diseases on Senior
citizen, visually handicapped, mentally
retarded, orphans, destitute and school
children.
